Arlene Rymer Hicks, 66, of Benton, departed this life peacefully on March 22, 2023, surrounded by her beloved family.
She was born on July 5, 1956 to the late A.C. and Shirley Goforth Rymer. Arlene was a member of Hiwassee Union Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, A.C. and Shirley Rymer, she was preceded by her grandparents, Arthur and Minnie Green Rymer, and Lon and Josaphine Bates Goforth; one brother, Daryl Rymer; and one sister, Karen Rymer.
Left to cherish the many memories include her beloved husband of 47 years, Randy Hicks; children, Chris Hicks, and Kellee Hicks (Mark) Burchfield; granddaughters, Cheyenne Burchfield (Skyler) Sluder, Ciara Burchfield (Steven) Webber and Cambree Burchfield; step-grandson, Isaac Burchfield; four sisters, Shirlene (Ray) Merrell, Tina (John) Qualls, Valar (Pete) Morgan and Vickie (Dale) Goforth; two great-grandchildren, Ashton Sluder and Elliana Sluder; three nieces; and three nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 27 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home, with Pastor Pete Morgan officiating. A committal service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 28 at Reliance Cemetery.
Family and friends will gather from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
