Anthony Winston “Tony” Watson, 81, of Dayton, Tennessee, died on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga. 

Born on May 3, 1941, to the late Edwin and Gladys Colbaugh Watson, Tony was a lifelong resident of Rhea County. He was a truck driver for his entire working career including; driving a milk truck for Ray Lyons, Ted Gibbs Trucking and Jolley Trucking. He was of the Protestant faith. Tony enjoyed fishing, whittling and woodworking, feeding the birds and squirrels and following NASCAR racing.

Tony was also preceded in death by his wife Wanda Sue “Susie” Watson, his brother Ronnie Watson and his son-in-law Ray Brady.

Survivors include his sons Mike Watson of Dayton, Pete (Angel) Watson of Dayton, and Dale (Etta) Watson of Spring City, his daughter Jamie Brady of Dayton, his sister Edwina (Bill) Webb of Grandview, his grandchildren Lance Watson, Chelsea Massey, Chase Watson, Hunter Brady and Lily Brady, his great grandchildren Wyatt and Whitley Watson, Liam and Crew Watson and Tucker Massey and several nieces and nephews. Tony also had a great love for his pets “Charlie” and “Lucy”.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, March 28, at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Suttles officiating. Interment will follow in the Spring City Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Vaughn Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 28, from 2-4 p.m.
