Beverly Ann Ward, 75, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023.

She was born to parents, Henry Troy Perry, Sr. and Eva Bell Perry, on March 15, 1948, in Chattanooga, Tn. She was a faithful member of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church where she participated in choir, the women’s ministry, and Sunday School. Beverly was also a member of the Deaconess’ Board and served as assistant church clerk. She loved the Lord and held strong to her faith, which she shared with others. She attended and graduated from Riverside High School in 1966. Beverly went on to study Accounting at Tennessee State University. She later graduated from Chattanooga State Technical College with an associate’s degree of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Beverly worked as a mechanical engineer for a number of years at Tennessee Valley Authority, from which she took early retirement. She later met and married Ralph Davis Ward in Chattanooga, and they spent many happy years together.

Beverly is survived by her three children, sons, Stevie L. (Pamela) Perry of Chattanooga and Kelvin A. Perry of Salt Lake City, Utah, and one daughter, Tracie E. (Mark, Sr.) Dunham of Chattanooga; stepson, Dante (Tesha) Ward of Hixson; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; her brother, Henry T. (Monica) Perry, Jr. of Goodlettsville, Tn.; two nieces; and one nephew; other relatives and friends.

Beverly will lie in state on Friday, April 14, at 9 a.m. at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church.

Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the church with Pastor Alonzo Noble as the eulogist.

Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
