Aaron Nance has been named the new Head of Football Operations at East Hamilton High School.
In addition to substantial improvements at Larry Henry Stadium including new track, field surfacing, improved weight room, and stadium expansion, Spring Football on Hurricane Hill will welcome players to a high energy, player-development approach under Coach Nance.
Historically, Coach Nance’s teams have a tremendous offensive output benefiting from his high-level offensive IQ and style of offensive attacks averaging nearly 30 points per game. Additionally, Coach Nane will bring the Canes an innovative individualized, metrics-driven approach to player recruiting and development through East Hamilton’s strength and conditioning program.
School Principal Brent Eller, commented that Mr. Nance’s energy and desire to be at East Hamilton is insatiable. He said, "East Hamilton's hiring process for staff, faculty, and coaches is highly impactful in terms of both outcomes and growth in the reputation and climate of the school. According to Mr. Eller, our lengthy and though process Coach Nance's reputation and care for his craft was continually reaffirmed in the highest regard from interactions to references."
East Hamilton athletic directors explain the hiring philosophy at EH as finding "the" coach not just "a" coach. Additionally, Mr. Booker said this care and emphasis is one of the difference makers for our students and school community with outcomes extending to improved results for programs and players. In the 2022-2023 athletic season, East Hamilton has continued post-season play in every TSSAA and club sport in most cases running deep into Region and State Playoffs. Due to Coach Nance’s passion, football knowledge, and strength and conditioning expertise, Mr. Mountain is elated to announce and support the hire.
Following this announcement, Coach Nance will greet players and parents. Coach Nance is expected to be on-campus teaching and coaching effective immediately. Recently, Coach Nance gained notoriety for leading clinic sessions on offensive schemes and winning the 2020 Georgia 7A State Championship. As a Chattanooga native, Coach Nance is excited about returning home.
