John Kanzlemar, III, a soul with a heart of gold, left this world on June 18, 2023 at Sweetwater Hospital in Sweetwater. Born on Dec. 5, 1959 in Aurora, Co., he was the beloved son of John and Juliet (Pintor) Kanzelmar.
Florida held a special place in John's heart, where he found solace in its breathtaking beaches and the calming embrace of the ocean. But his true treasure was his daughter, Lindsey, whom he adored beyond words. Whether they were riding together in the car or simply sharing quiet moments by the lakefront, their bond was unbreakable. John possessed the kindest of souls, always ready to lend a helping hand, and he had a remarkable habit of giving selflessly, even offering the shirt off his own back to those in need. His caring nature and unconditional love knew no bounds, extending to all who crossed his path. John was a true nature enthusiast, finding joy in every step he took in the great outdoors.
It is worth noting that John served his country with honor in the United States Air Force, demonstrating his unwavering dedication and commitment to a greater cause.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved daughter, Lindsey Madison, and Raymond Smith, who brought immense happiness to John's life, as well as his precious grandson, Raymond Smith, Jr. Additionally, he is survived by his loving siblings, Debbie Frazier and Robin Thomas, along with his nieces and nephews, Ricky, Dustin, Tud, Billy, Jeremy, Farrah, Jason and Nichole.
John was preceded in death by his dear mother, Juliet Lorraine Roberts; his father, John Kanzlemar, Jr.; his sister, Mitzi Abbuhl; his sister, Cherry (Chippy) Fullerton; and his brother, James Kanzelmar. Their spirits now reside in a realm beyond, embracing John with eternal love and peace.
A private memorial will be held by the family at a later date, where they will come together to honor and celebrate John's remarkable life. Final arrangements have been thoughtfully entrusted to the compassionate professionals at Companion Funeral and Cremation Service, Athens Chapel, ensuring that John's journey from this world to the next is handled with utmost care and respect.
John's legacy will forever inspire us to live with compassion, to embrace nature's beauty, and to extend a helping hand to those in need. May his gentle soul find eternal serenity in the embrace of our memories and the love we carry in our hearts.
