Habitat's Chattanooga Mud Run Set For Sept. 9

  • Tuesday, July 18, 2023
Runners, families, friends and kids are all getting ready to get muddy for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga. The Chattanooga Mud Run is set for Sept. 9 at Greenway Farm.

Participants can join the event solo, or create teams of up to 20 or more people. Racers aged 14 and up can race the course alone, while racers from 10-13 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. The event is a timed 5K obstacle course with lots of mud running and even more fun. Competitive heats are 100 percent obstacle completion, with top male and female placements winning cash prizes.

Jay Nevans of Scenic City MultiSport said, “We’re excited to honor Habitat with the funds raised from the Mud Run. Habitat does so much for the community and the chance to get muddy for a great cause is something so many of us look forward to doing.”

Habitat President and CEO Jens Christensen said, “We have several signature fundraisers throughout the year to support Habitat’s work in the community; however, the Chattanooga Mud Run is by far one of the most creative and competitive. We’re looking forward to celebrating everyone who is willing to provide muddy support for Habitat.”

Mr. Nevans noted that registration is currently open for the run and may be found here. For those looking to save a little money on their registration, be sure to watch their Facebook page for offers. And for those who aren’t ready to get muddy just yet, consider coming out to cheer and spectate.
