Reported Missing Southern Adventist University Student Is Found Safe - And Other Collegedale Police Calls

A Southern Adventist University student was reported missing by several concerned friends after the individual failed to show up for their classes for two days. Officers were able to locate the missing student in a friend’s dorm room on campus. They were safe and in good health.

An officer met with Ooltewah High School administration to take a child abuse report after receiving a referral from the Department of Children Service that had been completed and closed as unfounded.

A minor parking lot crash was reported in the 10200 block of McKee Drive, in a lot belonging to McKee Foods Corporation’s plant 2.

An alarm at the American Trust, in the Ooltewah Crossing plaza by the Walmart, was activated accidentally by employees who had put in the wrong code.

A minor fender bender was reported in the parking lot of Life Care Centers of Collegedale.

An officer responded to the Walmart parking lot after someone had called the Humane Society about a dog locked in a vehicle. The vehicle wasn’t found.

An unknown 911 call came in from the Walmart. The area was checked but no emergencies were found.

An officer was requested to stand by during a private party sale of a bicycle at the Apison Crossing plaza near Four Corners.

Police were called to the 9500 block of Robinson Farm Road regarding an individual who looked like they may be the police taking pictures of a resident’s home. The individual was confirmed to have been an employee of the city’s Codes Enforcement department.

A Collegedale fugitive was booked at the jail on a petition to revoke bond warrant from a previous theft charge.

A traffic stop in the 5800 block of Main Street for a light law violation resulted in the driver being charged with driving on a suspended license.

A traffic stop in the 9200 block of Lee Highway resulted in the driver being charged with driving on a suspended license.

An alarm was activated at the Collegedale Academy High School. The building was checked and everything was found to be okay.
