Garrett Beavers
Garrett Beavers passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, in Denver, Colorado.
Born October 19, 1976, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Garrett’s journey through life was marked by his sense of humor and adventure, his love for golf and river guiding.
As a river guide, he cared deeply about keeping everyone safe and entertained. He loved music and the outdoors, feeling most himself near water, whether a river or ocean. Before leaving Chattanooga, Garrett created, owned, and operated River City Takeout. His love of golf took him to Oregon to work as a caddie at Crosswater Golf Course at Sunriver Resort and eventually brought him to Bandon Dunes Golf Resort. He was fortunate enough to earn a living from a sport that brought him so much joy.
He is survived by his mother, Judy Beavers, and father, Robert Beavers and his wife, Melinda; brothers, Grant and Ryan Beavers; a nephew, Jacob Beavers; nieces, Chloe and Ruby Beavers; aunts, Gwen Baskett, Gerrie Brown, an uncle, Paul Beavers and his wife, Carolyn and many loving cousins and an extended family of dear friends.
Garrett was preceded in death by his grandparents Gertrude and Leo Thompson and Claudia and O.D. Beavers, and his uncles, Russell Thompson, Mike Brown and Gene Baskett.
A celebration of life is being planned in Chattanooga at a later date.
