The Crabtree Farms annual Fall Plant Sale is Saturday, Sept. 23, at 1000 E. 30th St. This is the 21st year for the fall plant sale event.

In addition to plants, there will be live music, local artists, vendors, activities for kids and hayrides. And a beer station will be selling Hutton and Smith Beer, with Melanie Krautstrunk, owner of the brewery, checking IDs and private and licensed security personnel present.

A special public meeting of the Chattanooga Beer Board will be held on Oct. 2 to hear the application to sell beer at the 3 Sisters Bluegrass Festival. The free event will take place at 100 Riverfront Parkway at the Chattanooga Green on Friday, Oct. 6, from 5:30 to 11 p.m. and on Saturday, Oct. 7, from 12-11 p.m.

The application for a beer permit was postponed until the special meeting since there was not a quorum when one member of the board had to recuse themselves from the vote.
