The Collegedale Parks and Recreation Department will offer Muggles, ages six to 10 years old, the opportunity to attend a class at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry on Wednesday, Oct. 17. There, students will have the opportunity to complete a series of magical quests.
Greg Roy’s Martial Arts Academy and the Collegedale Public Library with the Parks and Recreation Department will offer magical instructions at the Wizard School. Grey Roy’s Martial Arts Academy will be training Muggles in the skills of martial arts used in the act of spell dueling. Staff members from the Collegedale Library will guide Muggles in the important lessons of wand making.
“This is the third year we have been able to offer Wizard School for all those who love the wizardly literature from the book series and movies,” said Christina Clark, Collegedale Parks & Recreation Department supervisor. “We are always looking for ways to encourage reading and give those true Muggles the chance to socialize with others who share a common interest.”
The Wizard School will be from 6:30-8 p.m.
on Wednesday, Oct. 17 at The Commons on Swinyar Drive in Collegedale. Interested Muggles will need to preregister to attend and the cost is $10 per participant. For additional information, call 423-468-1971 or email parksandrec@collegedaletn.gov or visit bit.ly/3rxCXlx.
