150th Anniversary Celebration Events In South Pittsburg In October Announced

Music performers will help celebrate the 150th anniversary of South Pittsburg in October.

On Saturday, Oct. 7 at 7 p.m. CDT, the Natural High Band from Cleveland will perform at the Princess Theatre in South Pittsburg. Their music includes country, rhythm and blues, rock and pop. Featured are Leroy Calfee on keyboard and David Cawood on lead guitar. Admission is free.

On Sunday, Oct. 15 at 3 p.m. CDT, the Jericho Brass Band from Chattanooga will bring British brass band music to the Princess Theatre in South Pittsburg.
The band, in its 25th season, has about 35 members. Admission is free.

The South Pittsburg Historic Preservation Society, Inc. sponsors these programs as part of the City’s 150th Anniversary Celebration of the establishment of South Pittsburg in 1873.
