New sinkhole on Frazier Drive
A water line break early Saturday morning created a sizable sinkhole on Frazier Drive in Brainerd Hills.
The sudden water flow buckled the pavement for some distance below the newly created hole.
The area of the sinkhole has since been cordoned off.
David White, who lives on Nicklin Drive down the hill from the break, said water began pouring into his yard and that of neighbors around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday.
He said the rapid flow left behind a thick layer of gravel.
Mr. White said he was preparing "to get some buddies together to shovel up the gravel" when he was approached by a contracting firm that works for the Water Company.
He said the firm said they will clean up the gravel from his yard and that of neighbors.
