WE Academy Learning Center celebrated its grand opening with a dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sunday at its new facility at 100 E. 38th St. in Southside Chattanooga.
"The event brought together community leaders, educators and families, marking an exciting new chapter for early learning in the area," officials said.
Executive Director J.W. Cole expressed his gratitude and joy for the journey that led to this moment. “It’s an incredible feeling to see WE Academy become a reality.
This learning center is more than a building—it’s a vision brought to life, where children can grow, families can feel supported and our community can thrive. I’m excited to see what the future holds for the scholars who begin their educational journey with us,” he said.
Officials said, "WE Academy provides a high-quality, flexible early childhood education environment focused on supporting each child’s academic, social, and personal development. The center emphasizes individualized learning through hands-on activities and a structured curriculum that nurtures creativity, critical thinking and emotional well-being. Strong partnerships with families are at the heart of the academy’s mission, ensuring that parents are active participants in their child’s growth and success."
“I’m eager to connect with these young scholars, guide their learning and build meaningful relationships with their families. At WE Academy, we aim to nurture each child’s curiosity and help them reach their fullest potential in a caring, supportive environment,” said Gina Reviere, director of WE Academy.
"To meet the needs of working families, WE Academy operates 24 hours a day, Monday through Friday, offering care for parents on first, second and third shifts. The program includes two nutritious meals and a healthy snack each day to support children’s physical development as they engage in activities designed to inspire learning, exploration and creativity," officials said.
Chattanooga City Council Chair Raquetta Dotley praised the center’s impact on the community. “It’s wonderful to welcome another learning center to our community. WE Academy reflects the values of Southside Chattanooga, providing access to quality education and care, and I look forward to seeing how it enriches the lives of children and families in District 7,” she said.
Ikeko Bass, business navigator for the City of Chattanooga’s Office of Early Learning, emphasized the importance of providing children with the resources they need to succeed, saying, “Ensuring children have access to adequate resources from an early age sets the foundation for lifelong success.”
Offiials said, "The mission of WE Academy Learning Center is to provide quality childcare and learning experiences for children in a safe, nurturing environment that promotes social, creative, emotional, physical and intellectual development. The center strives to collaborate with the community and takes pride in employing highly qualified teachers who maintain open communication with families. At WE Academy, every child is encouraged to express their individuality through a variety of enriching experiences designed to enhance their growth.
