Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga announced that they raised more than $275,000 through their annual Raise the Roof fundraiser and Tee Up & Wine Down, hosted by Greater Chattanooga Realtors. They exceeded their goals for both events.

The 2024 Raise the Roof Luncheon raised more than $230,000 for the nonprofit, setting a record for Habitat. Habitat officials offered their thanks to those who helped make this year’s luncheon a great success. “We are very thankful for the valuable guidance provided by this year’s co-chairs, Marcus and Althea Jones, as well as Donna Elle Harrison, who served as this year’s emcee.
We are also grateful for the amazing support from our presenting sponsors, Crown Automotive Group and Hamico. We appreciate all of the efforts that led to this year’s record-breaking success,” officials said.

GCR’s Tee Up & Wine Down fundraiser raised more than $45,000 this year. This event included a golf tournament that took place at Windstone Golf Club, as well as a wine tasting and auction at the Waterhouse Pavilion.

“We are thrilled to host Tee Up & Wine Down for Habitat for the last eight years,” said Carol Seal, CEO of Greater Chattanooga Realtors. “It is always a great event that engages realtors with our community in a fun way, all while raising money for such an important cause; providing our community with safe, affordable housing.”

Proceeds from Raise the Roof and Tee Up and Wine Down will go directly into funding Habitat for Humanity’s mission of building more decent and affordable homes for deserving families in Hamilton County.

Over the past 38 years, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga has built over 300 homes and repaired over 150 existing homes, providing more than 1,000 women, men and children with stability and the joy and security of Habitat homeownership.
