The Chattanooga Elks Lodge #91 will host a Service Academy Day for high school juniors, seniors and their parents on Monday, Nov. 18 from 5-7 p.m.

Representatives from the United States Military Academy, United States Naval Academy, United States Air Force Academy and the United States Merchant Marine Academy will present information about and discuss each of the academies.

Service Academy Days provide an opportunity for students and their parents to learn more about the application and congressional nomination process for United States Service Academies.
According to Service Representatives the admission process to the U.S. service academies is an extensive and very competitive process.

Chattanooga Elks Lodge Exalter Ruler/President Terri Vandiver said, “We are honored to host this event for our young men and women who are interested in joining one of our military branches. Elks have a tradition of actively supporting our youth and a long history of supporting and honoring active military personnel, their families and veterans. ”

The Chattanooga Elks Lodge at 1067 Graysville Road in Chattanooga will open its doors to students and their parents at 4:30 p.m. The Academies Day opening, the Presentation of Colors, will be held at 5 p.m., followed by Academies’ presentations and then open to questions.
