Dean Stowe, 91, of Rossville, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024.

She was born in Dutton, Al., on Sept. 21, 1932, to the late Rayford Jack Thrasher and Lois Barclay Thrasher. Dean graduated from Jackson County High School and she was a secretary retiring from Burke County Health Department in Waynesboro, Ga. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, and she enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, gardening, some crafts, but most of all, she enjoyed growing in her relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Dean was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Jim Stowe; grandson, Andrew Godbee; son-in-law, Gary Guillory, and several brother and sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Sherrill Godbee and Renee Guillory, son, Jim (Lesia) Stowe; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends at Lane Funeral Home and Crematory Rossville, from 12–1 p.m. on Monday, April 15.

A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. on Monday in West Hill Cemetery on Pine Street in Trion, Ga., with Brother Joel Thrasher officiating.

All arrangements are by Lane Funeral Home and Crematory Rossville, Georgia.
