William “Bill” Tucker
William “Bill” Tucker, 77, of LaFayette, Georgia, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2024.
Bill was a 1965 graduate of LaFayette High School. He was a retired Master Sergeant of 35 years with the United States Air Force serving in both Vietnam and Desert Storm. Bill worked with the United States Postal Service for many years, too.
He was a member of the VVA 203 and the American Legion post 95. Bill was the prior owner of the Coral Reef Bar and Grill in Chattanooga. Bill was a “Parrot Head” and loved Jimmy Buffet and his music. He also enjoyed jazz music, as well. Bill loved quotes from his favorite musician and this was one of many, “If we couldn’t laugh, we would all go insane.”
Preceded in death by his parents, William L. and Reeda Tucker; a brother-in-law, Charles Hughes, and niece, Rachel Bradley.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Janelle Tucker Green; his significant other, Theresa “Precious” Kitchens; brother, Terry (Virginia) Tucker; sister, Marlene Tucker Hughes; two grandchildren, Christian Rex Green, and River William Green; several nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

A chapel service will be held at noon on Tuesday, April 9, with Chaplain George Woodruff. Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 9, from 10 a.m.–noon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
