Master Gardener of Hamilton County Presents announces Master Gardener Carlton Mathes will present a seminar on "Grow Buckets" at the North River Civic Center this Saturday 1-2 p.m. Participants will learn how to grow plants easily with low maintenance in buckets.

Grow buckets is a system perfect for small places, patios or balconies or small yards, for growing flowers, herbs or vegetables, It is two buckets, one inside the other and fitted with a pvc pipe and wick. The lower bucket becomes a water reservoir and the upper one is filled with soil over a wicking area and then plants in the top.
They are perfect for seniors in that they can be raised up on tables, blocks etc. and easy to get to and take up little space. No weeding and little insect damage.

Supplies will be provided for everyone. The program is free.

To register, call 643-7010.
