2024 Women Of Distinction Honorees Announced

Since 1993, the Greater Chattanooga area has honored remarkable women through the Woman of Distinction Award, recognizing excellence in their diverse fields and service to the community.  Women of Distinction of Greater Chattanooga has honored women annually who give of themselves through their time, energy, and talents to make a difference in the community and beyond.

A Woman of Distinction is "one who volunteers her time to help improve the quality of life for others. She establishes standards that inspire and encourage other women to achieve their full potential, provides leadership and influences decisions that shape and define our city and community."

“On behalf of the Steering Committee, we are thrilled to continue this tradition of honoring remarkable women in our community," said Steering Committee member Lynda Minks Hood. "This year’s exceptional honorees have set themselves apart through their civic, cultural, philanthropic, and environmental commitments. We are looking forward to celebrating them at our benefit luncheon on Oct. 31." 

The Annual Awards Luncheon will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 11:30 a.m. at the Chattanooga Convention Center. This event goes beyond recognition; it's a chance for the public to make a difference in a child's life through the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. Guests will contribute directly to promoting early childhood literacy and providing free, age-appropriate books to young children, nurturing their love of reading and learning, through the $75 ticket purchase.
