Patrick Deon Lawrence
Patrick Deon Lawrence, the third child born to Edward and Carolyn Lawrence Sr., departed this Earthly life on Saturday May 29, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. He was 53.
Whether you knew him as Patrick, Pat, Bae-Bae, Pat Dog, Pat Daddy or Law… to know him, was to love him.
Born on May 1, 1971, Patrick lived the childhood most would dream of. Raised on Lookout Mountain, surrounded by aunts and uncles and cousins upon cousins, upon more cousins, he indeed grew up with a village.
He confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at Lookout Mountain First Baptist Church, which is now named The Ark Church. Patrick served there faithfully, even as his health was failing him. He attended Alton Park Jr High School and Howard High School graduating with the class of 1989. He was a stellar athlete, excelling in football as well as traveling to the State Championship with the wrestling team. A true lover of the HHS Tigers, he also played in the marching band. He was formerly employed by Wheeland Foundry and True Line Coring and Cutting. Patrick formed so many lifelong bonds, it’s impossible to list them all. He had three true loves in his life, God, his family and Alabama Football “Roll Tide”.
Patrick was predeceased by is grandparents, Aaron and Georgia Lawrence Sr, and Breamon and Georgia Banks, Father Edward Lawrenc,e Sr., brother Edward “Teddy” Lawrence Jr., and grandson Cryson DL Hughes Wright Lawrence.
His legacy will continue through his mother, Carolyn Banks Lawrence, children, Patra Lawrence, Ebony Lawrence, Khalia Carter, Elijah Norman, Karmella Lawrence, and Edward “Trey Lawrence III as well as his siblings Amanda Lawrence (Brad) Doty and Andrew (Gwen) Lawrence.
He will be missed by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and fondly remembered by special friends, Kendrea Moore, Albert Lloyd, Chris Evans and lifelong cousin-friend Erik Lawrence.
Though our hearts are grieving, we are not without hope. Those who knew Pat know that he is safe in the arms of the Father.
