The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Chattanooga Chapter, will host the "Candidates Connect & Elect Political Forum" at Orchard Knob Church Fellowship Hall, 1734 East Third St. in Chattanooga tonight from 7-8:30 p.m.
"This forum provides a unique opportunity for community members to engage directly with candidates running for various positions," officials said. "Our goal is to foster an informed electorate by facilitating an open dialogue between candidates and constituents on critical issues affecting our community.
We are dedicated to promoting civic engagement and awareness and do not endorse nor financially support any political party. We invited candidates from all parties, to ensure an inclusive and comprehensive discussion."
The candidates participating in this forum are:
- Judge Alex McVeagh;
- Dr. Thomas Brooks;
- David Sean Kelman;
- Ryan Scofield;
- Felice Hadden;
- Attorney Kisha Cheeks;
- Councilwoman Demetrus Coonrod;
- Jill Black; and
- State Representative Yusuf Hakeem.
The moderator for the evening is Karitsa Mosley Jones, School Board District 5 representative, who will guide the discussion and ensure a fair and balanced exchange of ideas.
Officials said, "We encourage community members to attend and participate by submitting questions for the candidates. This event represents a vital opportunity to engage with those who seek to lead our community and to make informed decisions in the upcoming elections.

Our mission is solely focused on NCBW, and our efforts are directed toward achieving these goals without any political affiliation or influence.
