2 Sides Of Pickle Jar Incident Put Couple In A Pickle With Police - And Other East Ridge Police Calls

A woman called and told police that her child’s father had come to her residence in the 1300 block of Boyd Street and beat on the door. She said that after she opened the door, he threw a pickle jar at her.

A man called to tell police his side of the story of a disorder that had occurred earlier in the evening in the 1300 block of Boyd Street. He said that the "woman-half" of the argument had thrown the pickle jar and a chair at his vehicle, causing him to throw the pickle jar at the door.
Police asked him to come to the police station so they could view the damage to his vehicle. While on scene at the Police Department the man was arrested for an active warrant for vandalism and driving on revoked. He was transported to jail without further issues. Police are seeking warrants for the woman for vandalism. 

Police were dispatched to the 3600 block of Ringgold Road for a suspicious person standing at the door of an eating establishment exhibiting strange behavior. Officers contacted the man, who advised he was waiting for the business to open so he could have breakfast.

A semi-truck/trailer entered the west bound tunnel in the 3100 block of Ringgold Road and became wedged inside. It was pulled out by a wrecker.

A caller in the 6600 block of Ringgold Road wished to make a report that her car was flooded due to the heavy rain.

An alarm was accidentally activated by cleaning services in the 1200 block of Blocker Lane.

A man was arrested in the 4200 block of Ringgold Road on two theft of property-conduct involving merchandise warrants that involved stealing lottery tickets.

A caller spoke with police about an assault that he said took place at a local bar and grill in the 4300 block of Ringgold Road. Officers attempted to contact the business, but it had already closed for the night. Follow up will be conducted.

Police responded for a 33-year-old man causing a disturbance by shouting and waking up guests in the breezeway of a hotel in the 6600 block of Ringgold Road. The man was detained for questioning, but released into medical custody. Warrants will be sought for public intoxication, disorderly conduct and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police responded to a semi-truck parked improperly in front of the Welcome Center on I-75. The driver
cooperated and moved.

ERPD Officers responded after CPD requested assistance in the 900 block of Spring Creek Road with the victim of a delayed stabbing.

A caller told police that they saw a dog locked in a black Charger in the 5000 block of S. Terrace. Police searched the area, but nothing was located.

Police responded to an alleged assault in the 6500 block of Ringgold Road. Officers spoke with a woman who said that her boyfriend had assaulted her two weeks ago in Catoosa County. Officers also noticed a black eye and bruises. East Ridge Police asked Catoosa County to respond and talk with her. She refused to cooperate with the police, saying she doesn’t wish to proceed with charges. East Ridge made Catoosa aware and sent her on her way.
