Officers Respond To Road Rage Incident - And Other East Ridge Police Calls

25-008297-Camp Jordan Parkway-Disorder
Police responded to a road rage incident. The caller stated that a driver in a white Ford Mustang followed him from Hwy 153 to Camp Jordan Parkway after the caller accidentally cut off the driver of the Mustang in traffic. The Mustang had left prior to police arrival. No further information was available at the time of report.

Day Shift August 6: B Squad

25-008283- 3300 BLK Castle Ave- Auto Theft
The owner called in to report that her 2013 Silver Hyundai Sonata had been stolen between the hours of 1930 and 0730.

The vehicle does not have any identifying marks on it. It was entered into NCIC as stole and the plate was added to LPR as a hot plate.

25-008289- 6500 BLK Ringgold Rd Subway- Theft
Police responded to this location regarding a theft. On scene, officers spoke with the reporting party and manager who stated a male wearing a red and white striped jersey entered the business and took a Grubhub order from the pickup area without permission. When confronted, the suspect fled north across Ringgold Road toward the motel. She advised this was the second such incident involving the same individual. The total value of the stolen items is $93.40. Once identified, the suspect will be charged with theft of property and will be issued a proximity restriction from returning to this location.

24-007668 - 4214 Ringgold Road - Warrant Service
A woman was taken into custody at the Hamilton County Probation office on an outstanding petition to revoke through the city of East Ridge. She was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without issue.

25-008301-5300 BLK Reneau Way-Back Fire
Police stood by while ERFD investigated a residential fire. ERFD investigator discovered the source of the fire to be discarded smoking items, which he transferred to ERPD to turn into ERPD Property and Evidence.

25-008309- 1600 BLK Key West Avenue- Suspicious Person
The caller reported a male, approximately 40 years old, knocked on his door. The male then began rummaging through his vehicle. The caller confronted the male, at which point he left. The caller stated that nothing was taken.
