In what was described as "a resounding display of patriotic fervor, hundreds of supporters and like-minded patriots from all around the region gathered on Watts Bar Lake in Rhea County on Saturday for the Watts Bar Trump Boat Parade and Sand Island Rally.
Kim Brand, one of the organizers, said, "This event, held at mile marker 545 on the Tennessee River, was a vibrant celebration of support for Donald J. Trump and a testament to the enduring spirit of American patriotism."
She said, "The festivities kicked off promptly at noon with a heartfelt prayer, setting the tone for the day's activities. Participants, adorned in red, white, and blue bathing suits or Trump-themed t-shirts, took part in a fleet sendoff. The moving rendition of "God Bless America" resonated across the waters as boats of all sizes - yachts, pontoons, and fishing boats - decked out in a sea of Trump and American flags, embarked on their journey.
"As the parade progressed, the flotilla slowly meandered through the lake, each vessel proudly showcasing its commitment to the “Make America Great Again” movement. The display of red, white, and blue was not only a visual spectacle but a powerful statement of the participants' dedication to their cause further uniting supporters and fostering a spirit of national pride.
"After several miles of cruising, the boats anchored at Sand Island, where attendees enjoyed the beautiful weather and engaged in spirited discussions about their support for Donald J. Trump. The rally on Sand Island was marked by lively conversations, patriotic music, and an overwhelming sense of unity among the participants."
