Former UTC Standout Returns To High School Alma Mater For Second Annual Camp

  • Monday, July 8, 2024

Seattle Seahawks and former University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Offensive Lineman McClendon Curtis is hosting his second consecutive Big Curt Football Camp at his alma mater, Central High School in Harrison, Tenn. The camps, which are free to youth ages 7-17, offer a unique opportunity for young athletes to develop their skills. Dates are set for July 12 and 13.

Friday’s camp is dedicated to children from local community youth center and groups including Parks & Recreation, Boys & Girls Club, Y-Cap and YMCA. Saturday’s camp had open registration to all children in the age group.

Campers will learn from outstanding instructors including Curtis, coaches, teammates and mentors. Throughout the day kids will participate in individual and team techniques for both offense and defense, practicing some of the same drills Curtis uses daily.

This marks the second annual football Camp Curtis has hosted at his former high school. This year, Curtis extended the camp to two days by offering an exclusive session for community centers and groups to support children who couldn’t attend on Saturday.
