Cadek Conservatory of Music, a music conservatory for everyone, will now offer daytime music classes for children, ages six months through five years old, on the Girls Preparatory School campus.

Cadek instructor and longtime music educator, Dr. Natalie Eastman, will teach weekly classes beginning Aug. 22 on Thursdays at 11 a.m., for ages six months to three years, and Thursdays at 1 p.m., for four- to five-year-olds.

"Cadek’s early childhood music and movement classes are swinging with excitement as Dr.
Eastman dives into the toe-tapping beats and soulful melodies of jazz music," officials said. "Each class is designed to nurture social skills, creativity and cognitive development. In the younger age group, parent and child will explore jazz through gentle movements, interactive play and soothing melodies. For the older age group, the semi-drop-off structure allows preschoolers to explore their independence, discover jazz instruments, experiment with different sounds and collaborate in creative group activities."

“These music-and-movement classes are specifically designed for babies, toddlers and preschoolers,” says Dr. Eastman. “I designed each class to foster a love of music and strengthen the parent-child bond in a playful, supportive environment. At Cadek, each parent is their child’s first and best teacher, and every child is a musician in the making. Let’s make music together.”
