Chattanooga Elks Lodge Recognizes Eagle Scouts During Court Of Honor

Chattanooga Elks Lodge #91 hosted a Court of Honor to recognize two scouts who earned the rank of Eagle this year. Lodge Exalted Ruler Terri Vandiver and Past Exalted Ruler and Eagle Scout David Thompson presented new Eagles Evan Strand and Terry Powers with a Grand Elks Lodge Certificate of Accomplishment and an American Flag.

Ms. Vandiver said, “We are extremely proud to honor these outstanding scouts for the accomplishments they have achieved to attain the rank of Eagle. It is one of our many programs to promote Americanism and to support and recognize young people for their courage and achievements.”

“Over the last couple of years, members of the Chattanooga Elks Lodge have supported and recognized young people during the annual Gathering of Eagles. We are very proud of these young men who show respect for God, patriotism, family and community,” she said.

Over 50 local dignitaries, scouts and families attended the event at the Chattanooga Elks Lodge #91.
