Face it guys, Chattanooga is no longer the comfortable, slow paced large town it was when I lived there between ages 5 and 35, departing for Atlanta in 1972. It is now a small city, not exactly thriving economically, but getting closer and closer.
Hamilton County has become one of the most progressive counties in the state, and the rural areas will continue to grow also.
Let it happen. Most of you will be glad you did.

I don’t think the issue is growth in general, it is having the proper infrastructure in place to support the growth for which we don’t currently have.
Many of our roads and bridges are already crumbling before our eyes and can’t even support our current traffic volume.
Growth is no doubt coming to Hamilton County, but it can be done in a responsible manner.
The old adage, “Don’t put the cart before the horse” comes to mind.
