Get Out And Vote - And Response

  • Thursday, February 13, 2025

Did you know that only 15 percent of eligible Chattanooga voters actually voted in 2021? That’s appalling.

I imagine that the other 85 percent are the folks who complain about the city government. So 1 1/2 people out of 10 voted. You get what you vote for, or not vote for in this case.

Come on, city folks, get out and vote. There’s no excuse.

Local politics are for the most part largely ho hum. We can read local news and know how local leaders act and vote.

The ho hum stops however when and if a crisis occurs and then we do "lean" on our elected officials to act and to act responsibility.  Again the ho hum because most do and only when they don't is when the voter stops ho humming and instead wants heads to roll.

Frankly, our politics and our democracy works very well.
