DOGE Is Redundant

  • Tuesday, February 18, 2025

The country is shocked by what DOGE has “uncovered” in government spending practices.  Before we get all giddy about DOGE stopping the checks, let us remember that the primary job of our senators and congresspeople is to pay attention to the spending. The current seat-holders voted for the bills that funded these organizations. Any one of them could (should) have done what DOGE has done, by demanding a GAO audit of the organizations.  But, they did not.

The most important revelation that DOGE has exposed is that our current senators and congresspeople have been less concerned with how our money is being spent. Let us bring them home and let someone else give it their best effort.
