The Chattanooga Division of Transportation announces the following upcoming paving and construction schedules.
Paving and Resurfacing Schedule for Feb. 24-28:
The City of Chattanooga Department of Public Works in conjunction with CDOT contract crews has scheduled the following locations for resurfacing for the week of Monday, Feb. 24 through Friday, February 28 (weather permitting):
- Wilder Road from Grubb Road to Wilder Valley Lane;
- Wilder Valley Lane from Wilder Road to the Cul-de-sac;
- August Drive from Cloverdale Circle to Cloverdale Drive;
- Donovan Lane from Towne Hills Drive to the Cul-de-sac;
- Hillbrook Lane from Towne Hills Drive to the Cul-de-sac;
- Locust Lane from Towne Hills Drive to the Cul-de-sac;
- Towne Hills Drive from Winding Lane to the Cul-de-sac;
- Towne Hills Lane from Towne Hills Drive to the Cul-de-sac;
- Branch Drive from Sandswitch Road to the Cul-de-sac;
- Branchwood Circle from Branch Drive (E) to Branch Drive (W); and
- Glade View Lane from Branchwood Circle to the Cul-de-sac.
Single-lane closures will be required with two-way traffic being maintained by flagging.
Driveways and intersections may briefly close while crews mill and resurface past these points. All work is weather permitting and subject to change without notice.
In Addition:
N. Moore Road - Contract crews will be performing manhole adjustments ahead of scheduled paving, this will require lane closures and lane shifts, but no full closures are anticipated.
Wilcox Boulevard at Greenwood Road - Traffic Alert:
The intersection of Wilcox Boulevard at Greenwood Road will close to all on Tuesday, Feb. 25 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. for paving and resurfacing by city crews. The closure is required to ensure crew members' safety. Detours will be posted via Tunnel Boulevard, Shallowford Road, Oak Street and Glenwood Drive. CDOT strongly recommends planning additional travel time as higher than normal traffic volumes are anticipated during the closure.
Scheduled Construction:
1704 Hixson Pike -
Emergency work on behalf of Chattanooga Gas will take place in the 1700 block of Hixson Pike which will involve a single lane closure and lane shift in both directions starting tonight through Feb. 28 as weather permits.
3107 Amnicola Highway -
The right, eastbound lane in the 3100 block of Amnicola Highway will be closed Tuesday, Feb. 25 from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. for work on behalf of EPB.
