Caia Elisaldez finished strong on Saturday afternoon on the road to lead UTC past East Tennessee State, 51-46.
In the fourth quarter, Elisaldez scored 12 of her game-high 22.
The game featured two of the top defenses in the conference, and it was only 13-10 at the end of the first quarter, with Chattanooga ahead.
The Mocs had taken an early 9-2 lead before ETSU sophomore guard Brecken Snotherly scored four to cut the lead to three.

In the third quarter, ETSU went on a 9-0 run to take the lead. It was ETSU 38, UTC 34, going into the fourth quarter. Chattanooga won the final quarter, 17-8.
Gianna Corbitt added 16 for Chattanooga, who got all its offense from the starters.
The win raises UTC to 13-12, 8-4. ETSU drops to 15-12, 6-6.
