Lee's Nall Named Golfer Of The Year

  • Monday, April 28, 2025
For the third straight season, the Lee University women’s golf team has the Gulf South Conference golfer of the year. Hannah Nall was named the golfer of the year for the first time. In 2023 and 2024 it was Supuschaya Srinchantamit that earned the accolade.
Also, for the first time in program history, the Lady Flames have the GSC Freshman of the Year. Lehane Louis-Dumond was selected as the freshman of the year by the coaches of the GSC.

The Lady Flames had four of the six golfers on the First-Team All-GSC as well.
Nall, Louis Dumond, Banthita “Pearl” Phoncharatkun, and Haley Blevins were each named to the First Team. For Nall it is the third time she has been named to the First Team. She is the 12th golfer in conference history that has achieved that honor and only the fifth of that group to be on the first team three times. It is the second time for Phoncharatkun to receive the award.

Nall played in 21 rounds this season with a scoring average of 72.5. She came in 18th place at the GSC championship. She is ranked 13th in the Clippd National Rankings. She has two top five finished this season along with three top ten finishes.

Head Coach Geandra Almeida is proud of what Nall has accomplished. “Hannah Nall has been a cornerstone of our program this year—her competitive fire, steady performance, and improved scoring average set the tone for our fall season. But what truly sets Hannah apart is her strength of character. After suffering the heartbreaking loss of her grandmother—her biggest supporter—and working through a tough injury, she continued to lead with courage, heart, and grace. Even when she couldn't compete, she chose to travel with the team, lifting up her teammates and leading from the sidelines. Hannah's journey is a powerful reminder that greatness is measured not just in results, but in resilience and the impact we have on others. I’m so proud of Hannah for being named the Gulf South Conference Player of the Year—it’s a well-deserved honor for an incredible person and leader.”

Louis-Dumond played in 27 rounds this season with a scoring average of 74.4. She is ranked 71 in the Clippd National Rankings. She came in 13th at the GSC Championships. She has two top-15 finishes and four top-20 finishes, including a top-18 finish in a Division I event.

Coach Almeida was excited for Louis-Dumond. “Lehane has been an incredible asset to our team from day one. Earning Freshman of the Year honors is a true reflection of her talent, work ethic, and the impact she’s made in such a short time. After the fall season, Lehane wasn’t satisfied with her performance and was determined to make adjustments and step out of her comfort zone. It’s been amazing to see how she responded, with her consistency and strong results in the spring season speaking for themselves. I’m so proud of the player and person she’s becoming. This is just the beginning for Lehane, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for her.”

Phoncharatkun played in 27 rounds this season. She is ranked 15th in the Clippd National Rankings. She came in seventh in the GSC Championship this season. She had one win this year and two top three finishes.

Blevins played in 27 rounds this season with a scoring average of 74.8. She is 96th in the Clippd Scoring rankings. She came in ninth at the GSC Championship and had three top 20 finishes.

“I’m incredibly proud of Pearl, Haley, and Lehane for earning First Team All-GSC honors. Each of them brought a unique strength to our team this season, and their hard work and consistency truly paid off. Pearl, in particular, was right there with Hannah all season—her competitive drive, unmatched work ethic, and ability to lead by example set the tone for our team. She has been a force all year long and, without a doubt, was deserving of Player of the Year consideration for all her accomplishments. Both Pearl and Hannah were exceptional this season, and the level of play they both brought to the table speaks volumes about their leadership and determination. I couldn’t be prouder of them and the entire team,” noted Coach Almeida.

The Lady Flames will now get ready for the NCAA South Regional on May 5-7 in Gainesville, Ga.
