Minivan Crashes Into Gas Station - And Other East Ridge Police Calls

Day Shift April 25: B Team

25-004353-3900 BLK Ringgold Road-Crash
Police responded to the gas station after a red Toyota minivan crashed into the front of the store, damaging a window and window frame. The driver stated to Police that he did not take his prescribed medication for his blood sugar, the driver was cleared on scene by East Ridge Fire personnel and denied going to the hospital for evaluation.
The driver was given a courtesy ride to his address in Chattanooga.

25-004351 – 4300 BLK Greenbriar Road – Miscellaneous
Police responded to this location after the resident reported receiving mail for a party who does not live at this residence. The caller stated she received mail for a “Brandon” party that had her address on it but claimed he has never lived there and was concerned someone might be using her identity. Police advised the party to return the mail to the sender (State of Tennessee) and check with the social security administration periodically to ensure her information was not compromised.

25-004359- 100 BLK Atomic Ridge- False Report Warrant
An arrest warrant was taken out on a party for false reports stemming from the auto theft at this address on April 21, 2025.

25-004360 – 300 BLK Camp Jordan Road – Unknown 9-1-1

Police responded to this duplex following an open line 9-1-1 call. Officers spoke with both residents and were advised neither called for assistance.

25-004362 – 5300 BLK Spriggs Street – Suspicious Person
Police responded to the area of Spriggs Street and Dupont Street after concerned residents observed a male wearing a black jacket and tan pants walking around a home and taking pictures. Police encountered the party as described by the complainants walking westbound on Dupont St. When confronted by police about his actions, the man appeared to oblivious to the residents’ concerns about his behavior, stating that he did not see a reason to not enter others’ property since there was no “No Trespassing” signs or fencing prohibiting his movement. The subject’s information was documented, and he was sent on his way.

25-004365- 4214 Ringgold Road- Warrant Service
Catoosa County got out with a man who had an active forfeiture capias out of East Ridge. An inmate hold was faxed to the Catoosa County Jail.

Night Shift April 25: D Team

25-004364 – 3992 Ringgold Rd – Theft
The restaurant reported that two females came in and took about $60. Employees stated that the two females left in a grey Nissan SUV towards Belvoir Avenue.

25-004367 – 4200 BLK Ringgold Road – Citizen Well Being Check
An employee flagged down the police to request a well-being check of what appeared to be a person covered by a tarp behind the bushes at the rear of the store. Upon closer inspection, the tarp was covering personal belongings of a customer inside business.

25-004368 – 3600 BLK Maiden Dr – Miscellaneous
A woman was arrested on two East Ridge warrants for theft of property and aggravated burglary.

Police responded to a civil dispute over property. Both parties were advised on proper procedures.
25-004379 – 5300 BLK Ringgold Rd – Unconscious/ Arrest

A man was found unconscious in his vehicle. Officers located drug paraphernalia on his person and in the car. He was cited and released for the misdemeanor.

25-004380- 3500 BLK Ringgold Road- Assist Fire
Fire broke out in a restaurant then apparently spread to the neighboring business. ERFD and CFD gained control of the fire minimizing damage as much as they could.

Day Shift April 26: B Team

25-004384 – 5300 BLK Haisten Court – Domestic
ERPD responded to the above address for a domestic assault. The mother stated that her son had punched her in the face. When ERPD arrived, the male subject was walking down the street and was detained. He stated that his mother had slapped him in the face. He stated that since she did that, he punched her a few times. The mom stated that she was tired of all the arguing that goes on and she did slap her son for the way he talks to her. Both had marks on them. Parties stated they will separate for a while. Due to the assault being mutual and parties willing to separate no charges were filed at this time. No other incident occurred today.

25-004385-1600 BLK Hope Lane-Animal Call
Police assisted East Ridge Animal Services with recovering a dog that had been abandoned at the listed location.

25-004390 – 1700 BLK John Ross Rd – Mental Health Crisis
A party requested a welfare check on the mother of his four children, at the above address. He advised he does not live there but is the court-ordered custodial parent, with the mother temporarily caring for the children until school ends. Officers attempted contact but were unsuccessful. The father who resides in Smyrna, Tn., will remain in the area one more night to care for the children.

25-004391-100 INTERSTATE 75 SB-Vehicle Fire
Police responded to Southbound I-75 just after the I-75/I-24 split for a report of a semi-truck that was on fire. Officers located the vehicle on the right shoulder with smoke coming from under the truck. The driver stated that the brakes had overheated and momentarily caught fire. The driver was not injured, and he advised Police his company tow truck was in route.

25-004392- 3600 BLK Maiden Drive- Disorder Prevention
A party returned to the address above to get the rest of her items as granted under the TPO against her.

25-004393 – 4200 BLK Ringgold Road – Arrest / Shoplifting
The complainant contacted ERPD about a shoplifter. He stated that a male had stolen a bottle of NyQuil and was currently walking down Tombras Ave. ERPD located the suspect walking down the sidewalk. The suspect identified himself and immediately stated he was sorry for committing the crime and would pay for the item. He handed officers the bottle of NyQuil. While he was being detained a strong odor of alcohol was coming from his breath along with slurred speech. He was taken into custody and charged with Public Intoxication and Shoplifting.

25-004394 – 4214 Ringgold Rd – Warrant Service
A man was taken into custody for original charges by Chattanooga Police Department and served East Ridge Warrants after being taken to Hamilton County Jail.

Night Shift April 26: D Team

25-004404-3400 BLK Betty Lane- Burglary in Progress
Police responded to the listed address for a reported burglary in progress. The caller reported a silver sedan sitting in the driveway of an apartment that Codes Enforcement recently condemned. Officers located a man in his vehicle, outside the residence. He was detained pending further on-scene investigation. After police ran the party’s information, it was found that he had a valid arrest warrant out of Catoosa County. Officers determined that he did not gain entry to the apartment and did not locate any evidence of him attempting to gain entry. He was taken into custody and transported to Hamilton County jail without incident.

25-004406 – 6500 BLK Slater Road – Civil Matter
Local towing enforcement at the antique mall parking lot resulted in multiple disputes between the parking lot owner and vehicle owners towed. Police responded after the lot owner was verbally accosted by an angry citizen who had his car towed.

25-004407 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Missing Adult Not Endangered
A concerned father reported that his adult daughter with schizophrenia had been missing for four days. She was located at a medical facility and the information was relayed to her father.

25-004410 – 53OO BLK Ringgold Road – Theft
Employees reported that two females came into the store. One distracted the employee while the other grabbed a purse containing approximately $1200 cash.

25-004412 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Intoxicated Party
A male was too intoxicated to drive home after drinking at a local establishment. The intoxicated man’s wife arrived to angrily provide a sober ride.

Day Shift April 27: B Team

25-004428-1700 BLK John Ross Road-Assault/Disorder
Police responded to the listed address for two juveniles getting into a physical altercation over a pair of ear buds. Upon further investigation, the altercation was found to be mutual in nature. The two juveniles were separated for the evening.

25-004434-800 BLK Darryl Lane-Disorder
Police responded to a disorder between neighbors over gravel being placed in their adjoining yards. The disorder was de-escalated prior to arrival. Officers advised the RP to call back in if the issue persists.

25-004435 – 6100 BLK Ringgold Rd- Traffic/Warrant Service
Police initiated a traffic stop on a Jeep Wrangler at the above address for a minor traffic violation. The driver was found to have extraditable warrants out of Dade County for probation violation. He was transported to Hamilton County Jail for extradition.

25-004436-3300 BLK Gleason Drive-Disorder Prevention/Disorder
Police were dispatched so a party could gather her belongings. Officers arrived on scene to find an active disorder between her and her soon to be ex-husband. The pair were arguing on what property belonged to whom. Police advised both parties that with them being legally married, it was a civil issue and that it was to contact an attorney for property disputes.

Night Shift April 27: D Team

25-004445-5080 S Terrace - Armed- not threatening/ Arrest
Officers received a call regarding two males and two females going into the movie theater. A witness claimed that one of the males had a firearm in his waistband. Officers located the parties inside the theater. Once the males saw the police, they attempted to flee on foot. The men were caught and detained. Officers discovered both males were juveniles. Officers located the firearm in the bushes where the juveniles had hidden it. The gun, a Springfield 9 mm, was loaded with one round in the chamber and confirmed stolen out of Soddy Daisy, Tn.

25-004458-6700 BLK Ringgold Rd- Suspicious person
Officers located a known mental health consumer acting erratically and in possession of a sword. Officers spoke with him and took custody of the sword for safekeeping. He was informed that he could retrieve the sword from the police department later.

25-004461 – 1600 BLK Waterhouse Street – Burglar Alarm
Police responded to a zone alarm in the treasure office at the church. No signs of intrusion were detected.

Day Shift April 28: A Team

25-004465 – 600 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Suspicious Activity / Trespass
Employees reported a yelling homeless man was inside the restroom for an extended amount of time. Upon arrival police met the man who said there was no toilet paper, and he hollered to get someone’s attention. The business requested he be removed from the property and trespassed.

25-004472 – 700 BLK Frawley Road – Deceptive Practice
Police spoke with a woman who said her disability check was fraudulently deposited into a PayPal account not utilized or owned by her. She has contacted the payer’s Fraud Department without resolution.

25-004486 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Unconscious Person
Police responded to the sidewalk outside of the business for a reported unconscious person lying on the sidewalk. Officers determined he was resting but seemed to be experiencing some amount of distress. EMS transported him for a complaint of heat exhaustion.

25-004492 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Animal Cruelty
Police were dispatched to a dog locked in a vehicle with the windows slightly cracked. The dog appeared to be in distress. Officers were able to locate the owner at a nearby doctor’s office. She was issued a misdemeanor citation and sent on her way.

25-004462-5300 BLK Clemons Rd- Suspicious Person
Police responded to the care facility to speak with a woman who believed her neighbor was stealing her packages. She also stated she believed the party to be out to get her and make her life miserable. An officer attempted to contact the subject but was unable to speak with him. A manager for the facility advised they would handle it in-house and call police for further assistance.

25-004464- 100 BLK Margareta Ln- Suspicious Activity
Police responded to this address on reports of juveniles and adult males standing at a stop sign. Upon arrival, the parties were gone.

25-004470- 1300 BLK Boyd St- Disorder
Police responded to this address on reports of a landlord not being able to gain access to his tenant’s home. The landlord provided a non-official eviction notice to police. The officer advised the landlord he would need to get an official eviction notice from the county to evict the residents.

25-004475- 600 BLK Melville Ave- Unknown Trouble
Police arrived at this address after a concerned family member stated she believed her aunt was in trouble. An officer spoke with the woman who stated she was fine. She agreed to go to the hospital for evaluation due to her son’s fears.

25-004487- S. Moore Rd/Ringgold Rd- Suspicious Person
Police were called to this location on reports of a male who was dancing around and yelling into the air. Upon arrival the male was GOA.

25-004497- 6700 BLK Ringgold Rd- Disorder
Police spoke with a female who advised she and her significant other got into an argument. The argument was over the significant other not wanting to let her partner live there anymore. The significant other was advised she needed to have a county processor serve her an eviction notice.

25-004497- 1000 BLK Spring Creek Rd.- Alarm
Police responded on reports of an alarm. Upon arrival, police spoke with the business cleaners who advised it was accidental.

25-004469 – 900 BLK S Seminole- Assist Citizen
Police spoke with the complainant who stated she possibly had bugs (Audio Recording Devices) in her apartment and wanted police to check.

25-004480 – 3700 BLK Fountain Avenue - Suspicious Party
Police were informed of a young male, a maroon sweater, and a grey ski mask who appeared to be carrying an AR-15 in his pants. Police were not able to locate the individual in the area. Officers attempted to call the reporting party but went straight to voicemail.

25-004496 – 900 BLK Donaldson Road - Assault
Police spoke with the caller who stated she was assaulted by a party. The RP stated the suspect had used a small knife in the assault. Officers were provided video footage of the assault which showed the reporting party being the primary aggressor in the assault. They were cited with a misdemeanor citation. No knife was visible in the video. Multiple other witnesses stated that the caller was the one who started the altercation.

Night Shift April 28: C Team

25-004500 – 700 BLK Germantown Circle– Criminal Trespass
Police spoke with residents regarding a civil matter with the adjoining duplex. The resident requested their neighbor's son be criminally trespassed from the property.

25-004504 – 6100 BLK Marietta Street – Domestic Disorder
Police responded to two separate disorders at this residence. During each disorder, Police found two women were engaged in a verbal argument. Police de-escalated each situation, and one eventually agreed to leave the residence.

25-004507 – 3700 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Activity
Police responded to the report of an unconscious employee at the. The officer found the employee was simply taking a nap. The employee denied medical care and went back to work.

25-004512 – 5700 BLK State Line Rd - Traffic Stop / Arrest
An officer observed a red Dodge Dakota driving recklessly and initiated a traffic stop. During a roadside investigation, Police located multiple open containers of liquor in the vehicle and determined the driver was intoxicated. He was taken into custody and charged with Driving Under the Influence.

25-004517 – 6900 BLK Moreview Road – Domestic Assault / Arrest
Officers responded to a disorder after neighbors heard a woman screaming. On scene, Police determined that a man and his girlfriend had been in a heated argument inside the residence. The woman was intoxicated and emptied a small pepper spray can into the man’s face. She then broke a window in the residence. Police arrested her and charged her with Simple Assault (Domestic).
