Safe Haven Baby Box Receives 1st Infant

The Chattanooga Fire Department had the first surrender of an infant at their Safe Haven Baby Box at Fire Station 6 on Bonny Oaks Drive Tuesday night.

The baby is alive and healthy. Due to the mother’s wishes, no other details will be released and no other statements will be made by the CFD or Safe Haven Baby Box. 

Chattanooga’s baby box became operational in November 2024.
