Tyner Academy Celebrates New Building

  • Wednesday, March 26, 2025

Hamilton County Schools officially welcomed Tyner Academy's high school students into their new building Wednesday morning. Students, teachers, administrators, local leaders and community partners came together for a celebratory closeout in the former gymnasium.

Following remarks from Principal Rashaad Williams, the marching band led the crowd from the old building to the new. Once inside, the school held a pep rally with performances from the band, cheerleaders, dancers and more. Fresh off their State appearance, Tyner's basketball team added to the excitement with a dunk contest.

The new facility marks a significant moment in the school's history, providing an environment that will support the continued growth and success of Tyner Academy, said school officials.

Looking ahead, Tyner's middle school students will transition to their new space this August, marking another milestone for the community.
