The Community Foundation of Greater Chattanooga announces the appointment of Katrina Craven as its new vice president of Marketing and Communications.

Ms. Craven brings more than 25 years of experience in marketing, communications and public relations. She previously served as director of Marketing and Communications at the Gary W. Rollins College of Business at UTC, where she led branding, strategic communications and public engagement efforts for over a decade. Before her tenure at UTC, Ms. Craven held roles at the Hunter Museum of American Art and the Tennessee Aquarium, developing and executing public relations campaigns that heightened institutional visibility and deepened audience engagement.

Ms. Craven is a graduate of UTC where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and served as editor-in-chief of the student newspaper, The University Echo.

In her new role at CFGC, Ms. Craven will oversee all internal and external communications. She will lead the Communications team and be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy aligned with the Foundation’s strategic initiatives, grantmaking and philanthropic partnerships. Additionally, she will manage the organization’s brand, content creation and stakeholder engagement while collaborating with senior leadership to support donor and community engagement. She is the first person to hold this role at CFGC.

“Katrina brings an incredible depth of experience in marketing and communications, with a track record of leading teams, shaping strategy and executing campaigns that engage communities and inspire action,” says Maeghan Jones, president and CEO of CFGC. “As a Tennessee native, she understands the unique strengths and challenges of our region. Her ability to connect with donors who care deeply about our community will be invaluable. We are excited about the many ways her talents will help advance our mission.”

"Storytelling has always come naturally to me, and this new position at the Community Foundation of Greater Chattanooga feels like the perfect fit," said Ms. Craven. "It gives me the opportunity to highlight the incredible individuals, families, and organizations who are dedicated to helping everyone in our region thrive. I'm truly honored to be given the opportunity to share stories of transformational generosity."
