A Chattanooga corporate attorney has been charged with shoplifting at the Highway 153 Walmart.
Authorities said Erin Olshever was stopped by security at the Ooltewah Walmart a few days earlier.
Ms. Olshever, 39, of Mahan Gap Road, was charged with theft of property.
In the incident on Tuesday, Walmart security said Ms. Olshever was seen on security cameras skip scanning items in the self checkout line.
A Walmart asset protection agent said she was able to identify Ms. Olshever because another agent had stopped and identified her at the Ooltewah Walmart three days earlier.
Officials said the amount not paid at the Highway 153 Walmart was about $52.
Ms. Olshever joined Husch Blackwell’s Chattanooga office as senior counsel in the firm’s Technology, Manufacturing and Transportation group in 2019. Officials said she is no longer with the firm.
Ms. Olshever came to Husch Blackwell from New York City, where she practiced corporate real estate law and gained experience handling a diverse client portfolio. At Husch Blackwell, she was to focus her practice on corporate deals, mergers and acquisitions and securities matters.
Ms. Olshever earned her J.D. summa cum laude from New York Law School and her B.S. magna cum laude in marketing and operations management from the University of Maryland.
