Along with the live music, food trucks and kids’ activities in the Red Bank City Park during the annual Red Bank Jubilee on Saturday, May 3 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Red Bank United Methodist Church will be offering “Pet Blessings” on the front lawn of the church, along with a yard sale, kids’ crafts, handmade and vintage jewelry sales and popsicle giveaways.
Officials said, "Enjoy beach-themed crafts, flower pot painting, popsicle giveaways and browse a spring cleaning sale of board games, furniture and jewelry on the lawn and parking lot of Red Bank United Methodist Church, next to the Red Bank City Park.
"Also, bring your beloved pet for a special Pet Blessing Ceremony.
Bring your furry, feathered or scaled companions to receive a personalized blessing from Reverend Leslie Daniels in celebration of the joy and unconditional love pets bring into our lives."
Individual pet blessings will take place during the following timeframe:
- Dog Blessings: 10-11:30 a.m.
- Cat Blessings: 11:30 a.m.-1p.m.
- Other Types of Pets: 1-2 p.m.
All well-behaved pets and their people are welcome.
"Whether your pet barks, meows, chirps or slithers, they are a cherished part of your family—and we’d love to honor them," officials said. "The blessing is non-denominational and open to all. Feel free to bring a photo if your pet can’t attend in person.
Admission is free.
