The Easter bunny has hopped into town
And scattered colorful eggs all around
The children are filled with so much glee
As they try to get eggs out of the tree
The eggs are hidden all over the lawn
He had to start hiding them way before dawn
There's red ones, yellow, blue and even brown
Why there can't be an undyed egg anywhere in town
There's baskets filled with candy and toys
For all the little girls and boys
The aroma from the kitchen sure smells great
I hope that my uncle doesn't show up late
Ham and veggies and all sorts of pies
It's a wonderful feast here before my eyes
The kids with their baskets are having a great day
But there is one thing I really need to say
So pay attention, I need you to listen
He has Risen.
