Wanda Louise Kohlmann
Wanda Louise Kohlmann, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on October 16, 1940, Wanda lived a life filled with love, compassion, and dedication to her family and community.
A proud graduate of Baroness Erlanger School of Nursing, Wanda spent the majority of her career working in the emergency department at Erlanger, where she made a profound impact on her patients and colleagues. Her dedication to her work and her care for others was evident in every aspect of her life.
Wanda was happiest when fishing on the river or enjoying time on the beach, where she could connect with nature and find peace. In addition to her love for the outdoors, she enjoyed fly fishing, genealogy, reading, and practicing yoga. However, it was time spent with her family that brought her the greatest joy, and she cherished those moments above all else.
Wanda is survived by her beloved husband, Tim Kohlmann, with whom she shared 43 years together, her children, Teresa (Mylon) Morgan and JJ (Nicole) Kohlmann, her grandchildren, Lindsay (Yuri) Lauer, Korbin Kohlmann, and Aiden Kohlmann, her siblings, Alan Groves, Greg Kohlmann, Martha Malone, Therese Hughes, and Anne Humphries, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Mae Groves, and her aunt, Margaret Clinton.
In keeping with Wanda's wishes, the family will celebrate her life privately. For those who wish to honor her memory, donations may be made in her name to any local no-kill animal shelter or to the American Cancer Society.
Wanda's love, spirit, and kindness will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May she rest in peace.
Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road.
