Christopher Shane Howard
We sadly announce the death of Christopher Shane Howard a lifetime resident of Hixson, Tennessee, who left us all to soon on June 7, 2025. He was 51 years of age.
Shane was the son of John and Patricia Howard of Hixson, both of whom predeceased him. He is survived by his aunts, Kay Dobbs, and Sherry McGill of Florida; uncles, Robert Dobbs and Dan Howard of Virginia; cousin Michael Dobbs, along with many other relatives who will miss his gentle nature. He will also be greatly missed by his longtime friends, Mitchell Harwood and Angie Rogers.
Shane graduated from Red Bank High School, Chattanooga State and ultimately from the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga. He worked for Cigna Healthcare and North American Credit Service.
He was of the Presbyterian faith and his faith played an important role in his life. He enjoyed music and reading, immersing himself in song or being transported in the pages of a book.
Shane was a very special person who touched the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
The family want to extend a special thank you to Brett Billings who has been a friend to Shane and helped him navigate through his life for the last year.
There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers or donations, please share a good word or a memory of Shane. A graveside service will be held at Hamilton Memorial Gardens, Highway 153, Hixson, Tn., on Thursday, June 12, at 11 a.m.
Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
