Anna Lee Greb Holman, 96, of Ooltewah, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 17, 2025.

Born on July 21, 1928, in Chattanooga, Oklahoma, Anna Lee was the beloved daughter of Frederick Karl and Ola Mae (Smith) Greb. She was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was marked by deep faith, enduring kindness, and a heart devoted to her family.

Anna Lee was educated in Chattanooga, Oklahoma before moving to Chattanooga. She graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and went on to work in both education and as an executive secretary—roles that reflected her intelligence, professionalism, and attention to detail.

A longtime resident of Chamblee, Ga., Anna Lee was a faithful member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church, where she was actively involved in Sunday School and various ministries. After relocating to Ooltewah, she became a beloved member of Ooltewah United Methodist Church. She found joy in studying scripture, participating in church circles, and meeting others.

Anna Lee also had many personal joys—she loved reading, completing crossword puzzles, journaling her reflections and memories, and cheering on her favorite sports teams on television.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Ola Greb; her siblings, Wilbur Greb, Samuel Greb, and Lou Greb; and her only child, Suzanne Holman Buck.

She is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Daniel Buck (Julie), Russell Buck (Susan), Nathan Buck, and Winnie Spann (Kevin Poole); and her ten great-grandchildren: Jack, Henry, Zoe, Ryan, Sawyer, Riley, Sam, Oliver, John Michael, and Benjamin. Anna Lee is also survived by many extended family members and a host of dear friends who were blessed to know her.

A private graveside service for family will be held on Saturday, July 19, at 9 a.m.

The family would like to thank Garden Plaza of Greenbrier Cove, Morning Pointe of Greenbrier Cove, The Lantern at Morning Pointe, and Hearth Hospice.
