Ceremonies are planned as the Signal Mountain Eagles play their first game on Friday night on a new turf field.
The Eagles host Sequatchie County with a 7 p.m. kickoff.
Those set to take part include the Mountain Education Foundation (MEF), Signal Mountain Middle/High School, Nolan Elementary, Thrasher Elementary, kindergarten and senior students, elected officials, families, and community supporters.
A ceremony with elected officials at 6:30 p.m., will include School Board Member Ben Daugherty, County Commissioner Chip Baker, Rep. Michele Reneau, Senator Bo Watson, and County Mayor Weston Wamp.
A We Are Signal Legacy Walk will be at 6:45 p.m. That is "a new tradition symbolizing the passing of the torch of Signal spirit from kindergarteners just beginning their journey to seniors preparing to graduate."
Kindergarten and senior students will follow the Eagles football team onto the field.
