Home Canning And Freezing Classes Offered In July

UT Extension is offering food preservation classes in July. Participants will learn safe, reliable preservation methods as well as the correct equipment to use for both low and high acid foods. Classes are great for beginners or a refresher course for experienced preservers. Classes will be held at the Extension office at 6183 Adamson Circle in Chattanooga. Early registration is encouraged. Chase Burns Leaving Chattanooga for Louisville

Former Tennessee star pitcher Chase Burns is leaving Chattanooga for Louisville. He was elevated from Double A to Triple A by the Cincinnati Reds. That came after he shut out the Smokies over seven innings in Knoxville. Burns finished his outstanding college career at Wake Forest. more
