Mother Nature Forces 5-5 Tie In Soddy Daisy-Walker Valley Baseball

After Soddy Daisy rallied for three runs in the bottom of the seventh to force extra play, Mother Nature said NO! After the Trojans were able to knot the game with Walker Valley Wednesday, lightning ended the contest after just one batter in the top of the eighth, forcing the teams to settle for a tie. The contest will not be completed since the regular season is wrapping up this week before district tournament action gets underway. Walker Valley (13-16-1) will complete its regular campaign Friday with a trip to East Hamilton (16-15), while Soddy Daisy (17-11-2) will welcome Bradley Central (15-13-1) Monday. A federal prosecutor In Nashville said Thursday that Hixson's Robin Smith was one of "three powerful politicians who used their influence to line their pockets."
