Randall Eugean Tate, 75, of Rossville, died on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2003.
Mr. Tate was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and was of the Methodist faith. He had retired from Combustion Engineering after more than 33 years of service. He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He was also the Chancellor Commander of the Knights of Pythias Park Lodge #75.
He was preceded in death by his parents,Homer Lee and Annie Tate; and one brother, Alton Tate.
Survivors include his wife of more than 47 years, Betty June Tate of Rossville; three sons, Calvin "Bud" Tate of Nashville, Brent Eugene Tate of Raleigh, N.C., and Terry Len Tate of Chattanooga; two daughters, Wilma Jean Gillian of Atlanta and Lorie June Cantrell of Ooltewah; one sister, Naomi Sweeton of Chattanooga; five grandchildren, Lora and Leslie Hixon; five step-grandchildren, Jennifer Genter, Julie Barclay, and Billy Brock, Johnny and Kevin Cantrell; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Emory Lane officiating.
Burial will follow in the Lakewood South Memory Gardens.
The family will begin receiving friends after 5 p.m. on Friday and prior to the service on Saturday.
