Speaker From Body Farm At UTK Coming To UTC

The Body Farm, a forensic anthropology facility at UTK, studies the identification of skeletal, badly decomposed, or otherwise unidentified human remains. Dr. Arpad Vass will be at UTC in Groute 129 on Wednesday, March 17, at 5:30 p.m.

The study is important for both legal and humanitarian reasons.

Dr. Vass will speak on developing technology to determine the post-mortem interval, locating clandestine graves and evaluating chemical markers associated with human decomposition.

The event is co-sponsored by the Chemistry Club and SGA.
