MEMPHIS -- McCallie's dreams of playing for the Division II state baseball championship Saturday morning at AutoZone Park were squashed by Memphis Christian Brothers High School on Friday night.
CBHS scored 10 runs in the first four innings and beat McCallie, 10-0, in the lower part of the Division II bracket.
Montgomery Bell Academy won the upper part of the bracket and will play CBHS for the state title at 9 a.m. Saturday.
Jeremy Finney, Logan Forsythe and Jimmy Washam had two hits each for CBHS against McCallie. Shortstop Dylan Bateman had two RBI.
Jeremy Bradford and Evan Shipp had McCallie's only two hits off winning pitcher Drew Clothier, who struck out four.
