After a week of rain both the Chattanooga Lookouts and Columbus Clingstones hitters looked rusty as one run by the Lookouts would be enough for a victory in Friday night's matchup. A second inning homerun by left fielder Ethan O'Donnell, his third of the season, would be all the Lookouts would need in the 1-0 win.
Chattanooga used a team effort on the pitching side for the victory. Starter Kevin Abel went three scoreless followed by three relievers. Jose Franco picked up the victory with three scoreless innings and Trevor Kuncl earned the save with a scoreless ninth inning.
The two teams complete the abbreviated series with a 7:15 p.m. start Saturday night followed by a 2:15 p.m. matinee on Sunday.
